Create and manage quotes

Turn saved work into a clear customer-facing proposal.

Start in the right workspace

Quotes are available on Pro and Studio. Open Quotes in the workspace sidebar and choose New quote. The quote uses that workspace currency; LayerWorth does not convert amounts from another currency.

You can add manual items or start from saved products and calculations in the same workspace and currency. A saved product uses its chosen selling price when available; review every imported item before promising a price.

The workspace owner can save business contact information and default notes in Business details. New quotes use those defaults; existing quotes keep their saved information.

Build a clear draft

Add a recognizable title, your business name, customer name and your own quote reference. Business contact email and phone are optional. Add item descriptions, quantities and unit prices, plus shipping charged and notes. The total includes item prices and shipping; quote tax is not calculated.

Use descriptions a customer can understand: include the size, material or finish when they matter. The editor supports up to 20 items. Prices use at most two decimal places. Save your draft changes before leaving or changing its status.

Review and mark ready

Check the customer preview, currency, totals and any Valid through date. Mark ready freezes the saved details and prices so the version you share stays consistent.

Ready is your internal review state. It does not send an email, record acceptance or book production. Customer sharing is a separate step described in Share a quote by link or email.

Revise, export or archive

Use Copy to new draft when you need to revise a ready quote. Review the new draft and its validity date before marking it ready. Ready quotes provide document export controls for a customer-facing copy.

Archive quote keeps the record instead of treating it as a new proposal. Copying or archiving does not automatically send a customer email. Keep related references recognizable so you can distinguish versions later.
